Asalamu alaikum!

I'm Hikmah — founder of Sunnah Swims and a certified lifeguard instructor with over five years in the aquatic industry. My background spans lifeguarding, swim instruction, coach training, and managing at Emler Swim School, all of which means safety and skill-building are always at the center of everything I do.

I'm a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where I studied Psychology with a minor in Educational Psychology — and that foundation directly shapes how I teach. I believe in meeting every child where they are, building confidence gradually, and making the water feel like a place they belong.

Beyond the pool, I'm a lifelong Girl Scout and active mentor, currently supporting younger scouts through their Gold Award projects. I also spend my own time on the water — canoeing, kayaking, and rowing — because this isn't just a job for me. It's a lifestyle.

My goal is simple: to help every swimmer grow in confidence while giving families peace of mind in an environment that reflects their values.

I look forward to serving your families and, insha’Allah, helping revive the sunnah of swimming.

Swimcerely,

Hikmah
